From their sound and construction to even their name, PRS 58/15 LT pickups seamlessly merge the best of vintage-era pickup design and modern innovation. As the “58” suggests, these pickups are heavily inspired by a certain dual-coil pickup model from the late ’50s, but with an enhanced high/low balance, a more focused midrange, and a simply unmatched note-to-note articulation rarely found on a humbucking pickup. Much of these improvements come courtesy of PRS TCI (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance) technology, allowing them to voice and sculpt the response of a pickup with a hitherto unheard level of sonic accuracy. Finally, 58/15 LT (low turn) pickups come with a slightly tamer output than your typical 58/15, delivering a more vintage-accurate re-creation of the humbucker formula.

A legacy of dual-coil tone

The 58/15 LT is PRS’ attempt to replicate (and enhance) the balance and the articulation of a late ’50s humbucker — or, in their own words, “capture the sweetness of vintage single-coils and the warmth of a late 1950s humbucker.” In every respect, the 58/15 LT surpasses all expectations, producing clear, acoustic-like cleans and all manner of powerful yet defined dirty tones.
