At M4music , we're impressed by the Impulse 1012's top-shelf transducers. Its state-of-the-art Black Widow woofer features a Kevlar-impregnated cone and high-efficiency magnet structure, ensuring top-shelf sensitivity, reliability, and performance. Since the Kevlar is stiffer than paper, it reduces the tendency of the cone to distort the voice coil's shape, avoiding rubs and scrapes. It also provides superior power handling and greater dampening of unwanted cone vibrations. The Impulse 1012's RX22N neodymium compression driver delivers 3dB more HF output than its predecessor, while a 110 x 80° coverage Quadratic Throat Waveguide ensures excellent dispersion.
