The CS-C in-ceiling loudspeakers are intended for applications requiring superior acoustic performance such as pubs and clubs, paging systems, board room AV or background music in restaurants and retail environments. Although they were developed to complement Cloud Electronics' commercial audio hardware, they are equally well suited to other brands of amplification equipment. The powder-coated steel enclosures can be driven from low impedance or constant voltage amplifiers. Transformers will accept 25V, 70V or 100V line input. A rotary tap-selection switch is located on the front baffle, beneath the magnetic 'ZeroEdge' steel grille. Multiple tap settings are offered along with transformer bypass for direct connection to low-impedance circuits. Input and 'Link Out' are via a 4-pin, detachable, terminal block (Phoenix style), 'Euroblock' connectors countersunk in the rear of the back can and secured beneath a hinged screw-locking cover.
